Unearthly Delights, Frieze London Invitational Section, Woven, October 3 - 6, 2019
“Unearthly Delights” is an immersive installation of mixed media paintings evoking a cosmic night garden as a post-apocalyptic site of regeneration. The large-scale works on paper on linen depict a variety of creatures – animal, human, and superheroine – reimagining collective power as a uniting force across species. Their environs are at once dystopian and lush, considering the amazing capacity of the natural environment to flourish in the wake of human destruction and violence.
