She the Question, Gothenburg Kunstalle, 2012

Chitra Ganesh’s exhibition She the Question invites viewers to experience a critical explorative approach to the artist’s work across media. Ganesh brings to the fore that which ends up outside the established canon and emerges as hidden stories. Invested in illuminating gaps between the words of received history, with a steady hand, Ganesh narrates a space where myth encounters history. She the Question features a generous selection of her works in drawing, video, photography and collage. Works commissioned specifically for this exhibition, including two site specific pieces and a limited run of Ganesh’s newest comic book, were also on view.
